Experience
 

  • O.S.U. College of Education.  My primary duty as the Instructional Support Specialist is to provide instruction to the College of Education (COE) faculty in the use of all COE technology resources.  I administer the Blackboard Online Learning System and provide faculty/staff training on its use.  I provide training in the use of Microsoft FrontPage and administer the registry of all faculty and service group websites on the campus FrontPage server.  I assist the research faculty members in the design, implementation, and publication of online research surveys.  I develop task specific instructional guides for faculty/staff/student use, and lead technology seminars.

  • O.S.U. College of Education – Faculty Support Graduate Assistant.  I work individually with faculty, staff, and students on a daily basis in the effective use of COE technology resources.  It was my specific duty to provide educational strategies using the Microsoft Office Suite.

  • O.S.U. College of Education – Joint project with Dr. Joan Warren.  I developed the curriculum for and led a three weekend seminar at Green Country Career Tech Center on producing a web-based performance portfolio using Microsoft FrontPage 2000.  A a result of this project was acceptance
    as a presenter on Electronic Portfolios at the 2001 convention of the League for Innovation in Community Colleges, Boston, MA.

  • Tandy Leather – I developed and led a series of 2-hour seminars in general leather craft as well as specialized seminars in producing cowboy and medieval leather items.

  • Expressly Portraits – I developed a training package for entry level portrait photographers that was adopted for use by the Central California and Northwest regional offices.  I accepted a managerial position with the additional responsibility of training the managers and photographers for all new studios in the Northwest region.

  • United States Air Force – My last 4 years of military service were spent as a mobile instructor for seismic systems.  It was my duty to prepare the instructional materials pertinent to the equipment being installed at new stations and lead the class sessions.  The classes ranged from one day seminars to six week courses.  I also wrote the official Technical Instruction manuals for all levels of seismic and ancillary equipment.
